Rugged Industrial Lighting Adds Memorable Style to Farmhouse

Last Monday, we started a tour of Allison and Steve’s brand new farmhouse located just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. If you missed the post, be sure to click over and see the explosion of color in the kitchen and mudroom!

Schoolhouse Lighting Brings Playful Pop of Color to Hallway

Remodeling projects are akin to a game of dominoes. A fresh coat of paint in the kitchen suddenly makes the adjacent dining room look tired. Then with fresh paint on those walls, the lighting that the builder spent 20 seconds picking out looks more dated than ever. And so it goes.

Thoughtful Lighting Choices Add Personality to the Oft-Ignored Hallway

There’s nothing worse than trying to find your way down a dark hallway.

Often seen as nothing more than transitional spaces between rooms, hallways are routinely overlooked when it comes to lighting. Our customers, however, have shown us that thoughtful lighting choices lend both style and safety to these paths. Today, we’re shining the spotlight on some of our favorite hallways!

Rustic Wall Sconces Line Central Hallway in Converted Dairy Barn

“Were you raised in a barn?!” I can still hear my mom yelling at me whenever I’d fly out the front door of our house racing to be outside and forgetting to close the door behind me. For Rebecca and Tom of Chester, Vermont, they are indeed raising their child in a barn — a 100-year-old converted dairy barn. The building has served many purposes in the last century but it became the campestral homestead for this couple in 2009 who fell in love with the location and charm of the space. Like most old buildings, this one was in serious need of renovations.
