Featured Customer | All Weather Gooseneck Fixture Delights This Southern Gal
Few renovation projects are truly complete the first time around. For Amanda, in Atlanta, Georgia, it took several years, in fact, to get her garage reveal-ready for her blog called Dixie Delights. When she purchased her home, the original garage door was solid wood and 40 years old. She backed into it a couple of years ago knocking it off the track and knocking renovation plans into overdrive.
“I’m not gonna lie and say I wasn’t excited about it,” Amanda says in her blog post. She replaced the old doors with handsome carriage style doors but the look still wasn’t quite right. Amanda decided the final touch was a portico over the door on the right and some gooseneck barn lighting over the carriage doors.
“I was going for a traditional look with southern coastal influence,” Amanda explains. “I grew up on one of Georgia’s barrier islands and, even though I’m in Atlanta, I try to reflect the casual elegance of my Savannah roots in my decorating.” Amanda chose the All Weather Gooseneck Farm Light Wall Mount in a Black finish. This fixture is part of our line of Discount Barn Lighting which offers both high quality lighting and affordable prices.
“I chose this barn light because it was a little cheaper than some of the similar choices, but still had a custom look,” Amanda says. “I wanted to enhance the traditional look of my house, reflect my family’s style, and not look like every other house on the block.” She chose the black finish to complement the garage door’s hardware. This American made light can be customized with shade size, gooseneck arm style, and a wire cage option. Five traditional finish colors are also offered. These lights are handcrafted by Barn Light Electric and are durable enough for both indoors and out.
“They were the perfect finishing touch to the garage entry, kind of the crowning jewel of the entire makeover,” Amanda says. “It might sound silly, but I also love that the lights are stamped with Barn Light Electric!”
