A Bathroom Makeover That Really Shines

The photos we came across today give ‘Do It Yourself’ a whole new meaning. Michelle over at Three Men and a Lady wanted to give her “Builder Bland” bathroom some personality. Since her newly constructed home wasn’t due for an update, just a spruce up, she grabbed her paint (and husband), and dove in for quite the project!

The trick to low cost, and quick fix ups is figuring out what you can salvage and what you need (or want) to replace. Here, the cabinet and walls got a fresh coat of paint, while the more substantial pieces (counter, tile flooring, toilet, and shower) simply fit right in and didn’t need changing. Like we noted above, this was a newly built home for the owners, and as with many, it merely needed some ‘homey’ touches to really make it their own.

Over time, Michelle collected multiple accessories such as the mirror, yellow bird, frames, and a cabinet that she was able to piece together to complete her space. With a quick fix of spray paint, each of these pieces was given a face lift and brought some much needed color into the room.

Speaking of color – what’s the first thing that catches your eye? That bold pop of red above the mirror perhaps?
