Featured Customer | Schoolhouse Lighting Makes the Grade at Sauce Store
If you love having the perfect dip for your party tray, or consider yourself a connoisseur of barbeque sauce, or simply like trying new jams and jellies, then All Sauced Up is your heaven on earth! Nestled in the Great Smokey Mountains in the shopping mecca of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, the store specializes in sauces of every type from salsa, dips and relish to jams, peppers, dressings, and other condiments.
The Pigeon Forge shop is the second location for David Ogle of Five Oaks Development who dressed up this new store with some classic schoolhouse lighting. The store underwent a remodeling process to take it from a modern branch bank to a space that recalls a simpler time with the feel of an old-time, country general store.
“We wanted to keep a rustic, residential feel in the store,” David says. “The schoolhouse lights have a certain nostalgic theme not found in other choices.” Schoolhouse lighting was popular in the early 20th century when bare bulbs were replaced with hand-blown glass globes that softened the harsh light from the bulb making it suitable for the classroom, libraries, and other public buildings.
“We chose the schoolhouse lighting because they are nostalgic,” he adds. “They give off plenty of light and are good for merchandising.” David chose to hang 17 Schoolhouse Pendants in the store, all customized with large size globes and a Rubbed Bronze finish. These iconic schoolhouse lights are part of our Discount Warehouse Lighting collection which offers traditional vintage fixtures at terrific prices.
Barn Light Electric also offers an extensive line of American-made Schoolhouse Lighting including pendants, wall sconces , gooseneck lights , vanity lights , and chandeliers. Options include both the classic opaque globe or a clear glass version, painted bands of color on the globe, and various mounting options including cord, stem and chain mounts.
