Barn Lanterns Add Sophistication, Style to Home, Business

Barn lanterns have been chasing away the shadows and casting a warm glow long before Paul Revere made the fixture famous. Outdoor lanterns are a great way to add industrial beauty and sophistication to your front porch or doorway and will provide valuable walkway lighting for your guests at night. Businesses, too, use barn lanterns to dress up storefronts adding a dash of style and charm to distinguish them from the operation next door.

This business, for example, uses a stylish black barn lantern to highlight their small sign in a quaint shopping village. This lantern resembles our Aspen Barn Lantern, part of our collection of Outdoor Lanterns. This lantern, UL listed for wet locations, is crafted of rugged, hand forged iron and comes in two sizes. The natural bronze finish is complemented by the seeded amber etched glass which gives the light a soft glow. This wall mounted lantern would make a handsome addition on either side of your front door. And to light up the front porch swing, how about the matching Aspen Exterior Pendant made with the same rugged features and amber colored glass. The pendant comes with four feet of chain for hanging.

Prefer a square shaped lantern instead? Check out the Abington Barn Lantern, another fine example of roughhewn iron transformed into a beautiful lighting fixture. The Abington Lantern comes in three sizes. The small and medium lanterns each come with one candelabra socket while the large size comes with three sockets. This wall-mounted fixture comes in more than 20 finish colors including more traditional choices of antique brass, architectural bronze, and vintage copper. If you want to be more creative with your finish color check out the black cherry, granite, or forest green finishes. No matter how you choose to customize your fixture, rest assured that these lanterns are American made with old world craftsmanship and will provide lasting beauty for years to come.
