Featured Customer | Gooseneck Farm Light for a Green, Energy-Wise Kitchen

Vacations are all about feeling guilty — indulging in a beautiful setting, lingering over bountiful meals with family and friends, and maybe even a long, hot bath just because you can. When this New England family decided to build a vacation home in a beautiful ocean community, they eliminated some of the vacation guilt by working with Boston-based ZeroEnergy Design to create a simple, 1,200-square-foot structure. The gabled home is LEED Gold certified, built to Passive House Standards, and consumes only one-tenth of the energy for heating compared to a similar new home built only to code requirements.

In the kitchen, white walls, a polished concrete floor, and wide windows keep the room bright and highlight the natural views outside. The wide, rugged trestle table is cozied up to a nook that bumps out into the southern side of the property. The architects selected Barn Light Electric’s All Weather Gooseneck Farm Light in a Galvanized finish to highlight the table and add to the casual feeling of the space.

The All Weather Gooseneck Farm Light is an excellent choice for those wanting to save both time and money. As part of our collection of Discount Barn Lighting, this American made fixture features the same quality materials and craftsmanship that is associated with all of our Barn Light Electric products. This classic light is offered in a 15″ shade with five traditional finish colors to choose from and will quick ship in five business days or less. It is rated for wet locations so it would be a great choice for exterior applications as well such as on the garage, porch, or by the front door.

Our high quality, American made products are the main reason Barn Light Electric is a Finalist in the Martha Stewart American Made Awards! You can help us become a Top Ten Winner by voting for Barn Light Electric once a day from now until September 24th at the American Made Awards website. Thank you!
