Ah, to be a kid again. When the lazy days of summer seemed to last forever and there was always the thrill of summer camp. Away from home, making new friends, and an endless list of activities to try like canoeing, horseback riding, and archery. Kids who attend Frontier Camp in Grapeland, Texas will enjoy a brand new facility this summer called Creation Station.
“The Creation Station will be used as a nature center housing collections of rocks, minerals, fossils, and other nature material,” explains Hans Meinardaus, summer camp director. “It was designed to look like a turn-of-the-century railroad depot to serve as a starting point for our guests’ journey of discovery into God’s wonderful creation.” Sporting an 11-foot-wide cantilevered porch, the building is accented by striking black barn lights. Hans chose our Black All Weather Farm Light Stem Mount lights for the porch along with Black All Weather Gooseneck 17″ Warehouse Shades to highlight the signage.
“The pendant and gooseneck barn lights we installed on the exterior of the building captured the historical feel we wanted the building to have,” Hans says. “They not only look great, but were the most affordable fixtures available.” These fixtures represent the true, farmhouse style of lighting from the early 1930s and are part of our collection of Discount Barn Lighting, a popular choice for those with a tight budget or a tight deadline to meet. This line features some of our most popular styles including goosenecks, pendants, and RLM warehouse shades. Our Discount Barn Lighting is American made and guaranteed to be created from the same durable materials as our trademark goosenecks and pendants that provide years of use.
“The Creation Station is the first impression of our campus that guests receive,” Hans notes. “The lights complete the building, and the lighting effect at night is just incredible! We got speedy shipping, good communication, and the customer service provided by Jon was great. We are happy customers!”
