Vintage Pendants Just Divine in Vermont Farmhouse Kitchen

When the owners of this picturesque Stowe, Vermont farmhouse sat down with an architect to discuss the vision they had for their new home, their goal was to create a classic 19th century New England farmhouse design. They wanted their home to be bright and take advantage of the expansive views surrounding them in this pastoral setting. The result is this 2,500-square-foot, three-bedroom home that includes two generous porches for family gatherings. In the interior, the public rooms flow together to share the views and the natural lighting.

Here in the kitchen, distinct colors play off the creamy yellow walls and warm oak wood flooring. The barn red stools at the bar complement the federal blue color of the island and cabinetry while the black countertops and appliances add a dash of classic style. The colors are soft yet festive and give the whole space a happy, inviting feel. Drawing your eye to the center of the space are three vintage pendants very similar to Barn Light Electric’s Bridgeport Pendant, part of our collection of Vintage Pendants.

The Bridgeport represents a timeless design from the Colonial and Victorian eras. It is available in five vintage finishes including old bronze, two brass finishes, and two nickel finishes. The mounting is also customizable with cords adjustable to 11 feet long. The Bridgeport can take on many different looks with 11 different shade styles for you to choose from including several wide flared shades to smaller, more focused, bell-shaped shades.

Another offering in our Vintage Pendant Collection is the Appleton Pendant which comes in a small, 9 1/2″ size or a large, 13 1/2″ shade. This fixture has a clear, textured glass to give the light a soft glow over kitchen islands, reading spaces, or other work areas. It also comes in the same five traditional finishes as the Bridgeport and will add a dash of vintage charm to any space!
