Style Me Sunday: Emerald Green Kitchen

We were thrilled when Pantone announced that Emerald green was the 2013 Color of the Year. This hue is not only a seasonal favorite, but will stay fresh in the coming year. For this Style Me Sunday, our muse was one of our lovely Green with Envy pins. It’s time to add some vigor and life to your kitchen with pops of Emerald!

Emerald green subway tile have been en vogue for quite some time. Adding color to your back-splash creates dynamic visuals and clean surfaces. American-made kitchen furniture like The Urbanization Factory Utility Cart and the Industrial Factory Backless Stool is a great way to add to the industrialized flair in your kitchen. With their compact sizes, these pieces can travel with you as you move about your kitchen.

Emerald Kitchen Style BoardPendant lighting with green finishes like porcelain Vintage Green and Patina help incorporate more of the hue into your Emerald kitchen. Pairing RLM style pendants like the Ivanhoe® Sky Chief Warehouse Porcelain Pendants ensure that your workspace will have ample lighting! For a more diffused, softer look, try Barn Light Electric’s new Schoolhouse Patina Copper Stem Lights.

We were inspired by the kitchen’s retro accessories like the enamelware cups and pitcher. For a similar look, try some Enamelware Cups. For a hip, earthy look we included some French-style, striped Linen Hand Towels and a Canvas Basket with Handles.

While emerald green may assume the spotlight for the next year, the color has been a staple in lighting finishes for years. Here are some of our favorite shades—some modern, some vintage!
