Radial Wave Pendant, Sconces for Warm Country Kitchen
This Vermont kitchen is the epitome of a warm country space that no doubt is the heart of this family’s home. From the abundance of wood, both natural and painted, to the apron front soapstone sink, this kitchen is full of utilitarian and functional features that give it timeless appeal. Washing a pile of dishes wouldn’t seem like such drudgery if only we all had such a view of the woods and mountains beyond!
In spite of all of these wonderful details, the focal point of the space, in our opinion, has to be the barn style lighting which draws the eye to the center of the room with the cord hung fixture much like our Barn Light Radial Wave Vent Pendant. This pendant features a wavy shade design that was often spotted in gas stations back in the 1930s when they first were manufactured. These American made RLM shades are still manufactured today much the same way they were more than 80 years ago with high quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship. The vented neck design of this light adds a nice touch by allowing pinpoints of light to escape over the top of the shade. This fixture is available in more than 50 finish options including the classic galvanized look this homeowner chose. With additional options of a wire guard, cast guard and glass, and mounting choices, this can truly be a customized fixture for your space.
While the view is certainly nice over the sink, we couldn’t help but notice the matching barn wall sconces that add light to the work area without blocking the view. You can get this look by choosing the Barn Light Radial Shade Sconce which comes in both 8″ and 10″ sizes. These smaller fixtures tuck neatly into tight places such as the space over these windows. Choose from the same finish options as the pendant to give your space a cohesive look!
