Porcelain Cups Offer Functionality, Pop of Color in Bathroom

Sometimes it’s the little things that start the day off right. Like a well-organized bathroom counter with everything in place. Chris, a customer from New Jersey, wanted to corral the clutter in her bathrooms so she opted for handcrafted porcelain cups. These cups not only capture the chaos, but add a pop of color to this small space.

“I needed something to put the toothpaste, toothbrush, and rinse cups in,” Chris says. “I didn’t want to leave them just lying on the counter. Functionality and style were important!”

Chris chose six of our eight-ounce Enamelware Cups to organize her vanity. She started her search for porcelain cups with Google (who doesn’t?!) and quickly found Barn Light Electric.

“I googled enamel cup and selected images,” she notes. “I liked your images as soon as I saw them.” Chris loves mixing colors and chose one of each in Yellow, Delphite Blue, Jadite, Black, White, and Graphite.

Four other high-gloss porcelain finish colors are also available. The interior of the cup can be finished to match the exterior, or you can customize the interior with either a Black or White finish.

Porcelain cups are also now available in two more sizes — both 12 and 24 ounce. You can customize these cups with solid porcelain colors like Chris chose or in graniteware and our new dip dyed pattern. Just like our Porcelain Enamel Lighting, our porcelain cups are handcrafted from commercial-grade steel then coated with multiple layers of porcelain enamel glass.

The cups are baked in our Italian oven which reaches 1,500 degrees. This high-temperature firing seals the porcelain enamel to the steel creating a glossy finish that Chris will enjoy for years.

“They are so sturdy,” she says. “As soon as they arrived, I could tell what excellent quality they were. I have other cups from different manufacturers and they are much thinner and not as sturdy.”
