Featured Customer | Timeless Copper Ceiling Fans Are Crowning Touch at BVI Resort
I’m not sure if it’s the chilly weather or if I’m deep into the winter doldrums, but I’ve been dreaming about warm, sunny beaches and colorful, tropical fruit drinks. Just when I was looking for something to shake me out of my languor, I received these stunning photos from Baraka Point Estate! Located on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, this luxury hideaway features copper-peaked pavilions, opulent ocean-view suites, and coral stone terraces that offer a front-row seat to sunset.
Ah, I feel better already!
I chatted with Meghann Cundall, Villa Manager, about this gorgeous property and how they chose our Machine Age Polished Copper Ceiling Fans to adorn their colorful suites.
“The villa was built in 2003 so it was time to replace the original fans,” Meghann says. “We had purchased copper fans for our Games Room that was built in 2009, and we not only liked the look of them, but we wanted to keep a consistency to the spaces.”
Meghann notes that the owner selected all of the dècor for the suites which includes sumptuous handmade silks and ethnic furnishings from Indonesia and India and, of course, the vintage ceiling fans from Barn Light Electric.
“Our villas have a lot of colors, textures, and large furniture pieces,” Meghann explains. “We didn’t want the fans to stand out, but to blend in with the rest of our design.” These distinctive ceiling fans can be customized with either 42″ or 52″ blades and one of five blade colors. Downrods also come in a range of sizes and accessories include a slope adapter for slanted ceilings and remote controls.
“The fans are so quiet and work really well,” Meghann says. “They also blend into the space, aren’t too flashy, and they complement the original dècor perfectly.” Meghann also notes that the personal service they received from the Barn Light Electric sales team was excellent.
“I had a really great conversation with Jesse about the fans and he was super helpful in getting them to the British Virgin Islands for us,” she says. “We didn’t hesitate to come back to Barn Light Electric when we were upgrading the fans in our kitchen this past fall.”
Hmm, more fans. Sounds like I need to plan a field trip to check out the kitchen very soon!
