While the signage above the door reads “Atlantic Hotel,” this beachy cottage is located in the Napa Valley, about 70 miles inland from the seashore. Not too bad of a drive to enjoy the cool ocean breeze, right? Featured in House Beautiful for its inviting entryway, it seems like it could be a unique little bed and breakfast, however, this is simply a privately owned home.

She clearly has an eye for great Southern design – after all, it kind of looks like a snapshot straight from Southern Living Magazine. The homeowner, Lauren, is an interior designer based out of Jacksonville, Florida, just a short two hour drive North of us. Most would expect the home of an interior designer to be filled with opulence and the latest design trends – that’s not always the case in Lauren’s designs.
