Copper & Brass
For oil-rubbed copper, weathered copper and brass finishes, slight variations may occur from shade to shade.
Copper and brass fixtures have a longer lead time and may take up to 4 weeks to manufacture. There are no returns accepted on these metals.
Copper is a "living" metal that, without regular cleaning, will undergo a natural weathering process. Much like the formation of rust on iron, a patina develops on copper which actually protects the metal. If you prefer the new-penny look of copper, you can keep it shiny with regular care with a gentle cleaning agent such as Bar Keeper's Friend.
Porcelain Enamel
Porcelain enamel, our signature finish, is celebrated for its protective properties and unique, high-gloss surface. Every porcelain shade is fired in a special oven. To relieve the pressure that builds up in these high temperatures, one or more vent holes are included in the shade's design. The hole(s) are later sealed with silicon to prevent any chance of moisture intrusion that could damage the shade.
All fixtures undergo a strict quality control evaluation to ensure they meet our high standards; however, some minor blemishes may occur due to our hands-on construction and manufacturing processes. These blemishes do not affect the functionality of the fixture.
Lead Times & Returns
Lead Time: Standard lead time is 7-14 business days. For products in our Quick Ship Collection, standard lead time is 5-7 business days. Products utilizing natural metals including brass and copper may take up to 20-30 business days to manufacture.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to current supply chain challenges and additional factors beyond Barn Light Electric's control, lead times may be longer than customary. Please contact our Customer Care Team if you have any questions or concerns regarding your order(s) at 321-269-2299. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your extended patience.
Finish Care & Maintenance
No metal fixture, no matter the finish, is guaranteed against corrosion especially in salt air environments. If your fixture is installed in a location near salt water, we recommend cleaning it frequently.
If your fixture is not installed in a location near salt water, we recommend periodic cleaning with a mild soap-and-water wash and gentle buffing to extend the life of our painted finishes.
Bought this as a gift for my husbands outside workshop. He has a barn sliding door so we just needed the one on the side that the door doesn't slide over. LOVE IT!! Looks fabulous, quality construction (and I've been told I'm picky) and is made in good ole' Florida! Shipped extremely well packed! I have since ordered an Ivanhoe for our dining room and it was just installed today! Excited, as it looks FABULOUS as well! It, too, was well packed and is great quality! New and big fan of this company! I would highly recommend and I 'swear' I don't know a soul involved in this business! (Ya never know who's writing these reviews!) Really could not be more pleased!! Thank you Barn Light Electric! Much continued success!

I bought 3 of these and they are perfect! Quality superior to all others I considered. Derek in CS was super helpful in assisting me with product specs and suggestions based on other customers feedback

This purchase was for the new handicap accessible ramp at our church. The lighting complements the architecture and period of the church and looks as though it has always been there. The entire experience with your company has been a pleasure. From day one you have been helpful and all has gone according to plan and schedule. Thank you for a good product at a reasonable price in a timely fashion!

Everything we hoped it would be. We are thinking of where we could install others.

Will be buying 2 more in the near future. This sits just outside my retail store. Gives good light. Love the fact it was made in USA! Took a while for it to arrive but well worth the wait. I ordered dark green finish and 12 inch shade.

We purchased the lights for outside to show off our NEW sign & they are GREAT! We are actually going to buy 2 more for the other side of the building too.

I only bought the 14" canopy to replace an old builder grade fixture with a flood light screwed into it. The canopy style I purchased is perfect and the quality is very good too. Mine mounts against a flat vertical wall over a sliding patio door. My light extends out from the bracket about 14" (nipple) then turns 90 degrees (ell + 6" nipple) straight down where it screws into the canopy. When I ordered I decided to not purchase the accessory stems and mounting bracket. (My bracket mounts flush on a vertical wall) I chose instead and saved several dollars by going to a local home center and buying my own mounting plate and galvanized plumbing nipples. So... if you're the least bit handy do as I did. You'll save a few bucks. I think the various nipples and ells and the round flat wall bracket cost me about $5.00. One thing I liked about the canopy was that it is prewired with about 6-8 feet of wire. Probably more than enough for most installations. The look is awesome.

Arrived very well packaged and in perfect condition. Hung above the door to my beautiful board and batten storage building. My electrician will run a bead of silicone to help prevent water from getting to the bulb. O love the galvanized finish and the overall quality. Yeah USA!
