CopySometimes the best way to create a classic look is to simplify what you already have. In this case, the Austin Sconce is closely based on the familiar Ashland Warehouse Shade with a more conventional, compact wall mount. The smaller shade diameter allows for mounting in tight spaces such as over a front door or along interior walls. This allows industrial wall sconces to be installed in almost any location. For even more versatility, add a plug-in cord—a solution to lighting in apartments or elsewhere needing nonpermanent installation.
Hand-built in the United States, this wall sconce lighting can be customized to your specifications. Choose from two shade sizes and dozens of finish colors to make this lighting fixture your own. Also consider adding a wire guard to give your wall sconce a vintage twist.

Cord & Plug Option
Includes 8 feet of cord, 2-prong polarized plug and inline on/off switch. A black plug and switch comes standard with all cord options except our Standard White Cord (SWH) and White Cloth Cord (CSW), which will include a white plug and switch.

Lead Time: Standard lead time is 7-14 business days. For products in our Quick Ship Collection, standard lead time is 5-7 business days. Products utilizing natural metals including brass and copper may take up to 20-30 business days to manufacture.

Finish Care & Maintenance
No metal fixture, no matter the finish, is guaranteed against corrosion especially in salt air environments. If your fixture is installed in a location near salt water, we recommend cleaning it frequently.
If your fixture is not installed in a location near salt water, we recommend periodic cleaning with a mild soap-and-water wash and gentle buffing to extend the life of our painted finishes.

We ordered two Austin Wall Sconce for our master bath and are so pleased with the look it gives the bath plus the exceptional quality. These are beautiful sconces and will definitely be enjoyed for years! Customer service was excellent with my questions. It was packaged and shipped in the time they said without any problems
This appears to be well made and sturdy, and was easy to install. Hopefully it last longer than the Pottery Barn fixture it replaces.

I only have one negative comment, regarding the packaging. I understand why it was packed as it was, in a molded styrofoam, but I wish BLE would opt for a more eco-friendly type of packaging. Even newspaper would have protected my light during shipment and I could have recycled it...
I think all corporations should include sustainability into their products and shipping methods to reduce their effects onto our environment.

Unfortunately, shipping carriers do not recognize newsprint as a suitable packing material, and we hope that by shipping only once (instead if incurring multiple trips due to breakages) we are cutting down on fuel and added packaging waste. That being said, we do use shredded, recycled cardboard as a packing material when we can, and we are working to develop inserts for the wide range of sizes and shapes of our sconces to avoid using foam.

The Austin in Galvanized puts up with the northwestern rain and our heavy winds with ease. The installation was simple and straight forward. We have six of these on our house and have had no problems with them. (Other than a limb hitting them!)
I absolutely love my new austin wall sconce I ordered the textured black and it is a nice soft black. I can tell the quality is very good, and there are no sharp edges. easy to install as well. I would recommend getting sample chips of the finishes if you are not sure. The customer service was also very good.
We ordered this Austin Wall Sconce in the 8" Bronze color and we love it. It was a perfect fit next to our entry door off our back porch. If you do your research you'll find Barn Light Electric to be a little higher in price than some of the bigger light stores online, but these lights are hand made to order and are excellent quality. This also makes the lights take a little while to ship, ~ 2 weeks from my order, but you will be satisfied. These are high quality products that look great.
These wall sconces were a perfect addition to my daughters window seat. The color is true to the website complements many interior designs.
The package came perfectly wrapped and unharmed and all in a timely fashion. A well-pleased customer for sure.
