In the 1920s, lighting manufacturers began concealing bulbs behind charming glass shades. This style has persisted into the modern era, perhaps due to its simplicity and timelessness. However, in this version of schoolhouse lighting, high-performance technology gives the design a modern update. LED components limit a space’s overall energy consumption, making it a budget-minded and environmentally friendly option.
With their classic character and a diverse array of customizing options, LED schoolhouse lights still offer aesthetic benefits to homes and businesses. Opaque shades slightly diffuse light while the clear option shines brightly in any setting. Finishes like copper, brass, and powder coat let schoolhouse lighting adopt a wide range of styles.
Features a customizable glass schoolhouse globe with hand-spun fitter.

Schoolhouse Globes
Schoolhouse globes are best cleaned with a damp, soft cloth. To protect the glass and painted bands, avoid alcohol-based and abrasive cleaners. Instead, we recommend the following alcohol-free soaps and cleaners: 409, Windex, Dawn Dish Soap, Simple Green, and Mr. Clean Multi-Surface. Schoolhouse globes featuring a painted band selection should only be used indoors.
Lead Times & Returns
Standard lead time is 7-14 business days. This is not applicable to commercial orders, Quick Ship lighting, or furniture. Quick Ship lighting has a standard lead time of 5-7 business days. Furniture requires a 4-6-week lead time. Copper and brass products have a longer lead time and may take up to 4 weeks to manufacture.
Returns are accepted for most products within 30 days of delivery. We do not accept returns on fixtures that have been installed or are damaged. There are no returns accepted on furniture items, natural metal products, or products assembled with GU24 sockets, integrated LED's or light bulbs. All fixtures undergo a strict quality control evaluation to ensure they meet our high standards; however, some minor blemishes may occur due to our hands-on construction and manufacturing processes. These blemishes do not affect the functionality of the fixture.
Finish Care & Maintenance
No metal fixture, no matter the finish, is guaranteed against corrosion, especially in salt air environments. If your fixture will be installed in a location near salt water, we recommend cleaning it monthly.
If your fixture is not installed in a location near salt water, we recommend periodic cleaning with a mild soap-and-water wash and gentle buffing to extend the life of our painted finishes.
