"Our initial attraction was the superior design and the depth of finish options, however, it soon became evident we had come across an excellent resource."
- Jeri & Steven, Rooster Designs
VINTAGE & MODERN COLLIDE
Inspired by early 20th century lighting, we’ve taken classic designs from inventors like Goodrich and Benjamin and updated them with modern finishes and options. We also revived the art of handcrafting porcelain enamel lighting and are the only manufacturer in the US producing porcelain lights.
What started as a part-time hobby of refurbishing antique lights evolved quickly into a full-time business when owners Bryan and Donna Scott realized others shared their passion for vintage lighting. They launched Barn Light Electric in the midst of, and in spite of, the Great Recession of 2008. With hard work, an enthusiastic team, and plenty of imagination, they created a successful business with loyal customers around the globe.
KEEPING IT LOCAL
Growing up in the shadow of the Kennedy Space Center, the Scotts learned early on that dreams have no bounds. By hiring local artisans to handcraft products on site, they control the quality and manufacturing process from start to finish. This supports the community and the country at large. The Scotts also support their local economy as part-owners of Playalinda Brewing Company, one of north Brevard County's first craft breweries.
At Barn Light Electric, our employees thrive in a culture of teamwork and creativity. From all ages, backgrounds, and differing walks of life, our talented team works together to create quality products they would be proud to place in their own homes.
From supporting local charities and organizations to international initiatives, Barn Light Electric is proud to give back to people and organizations who make the world a better place.
