Nautical Chandelier Adds Quirky, Coastal Charm to Kitchen

Many remodeling projects take a space from one decade into the next. In Susan’s case, her kitchen took a giant leap from the 1980s right into the next century. Her “older” condo, located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, needed a serious kitchen update.

“The space had an old fluorescent light and I wanted to have colors that looked more coastal,” Susan says. With her new mint backsplash in place, Susan started her search for new kitchen lighting.  Having shopped Barn Light Electric in the past, Susan remembered the creamy Jadite finish in the porcelain enamel palette of colors. It matched her new backsplash perfectly.

Susan chose the Orbiter 4-Light Chandelier to top off her remodeling project. This rugged ceiling light from our Chandelier Collection features four guard-and-glass fixtures affixed to curved gooseneck arms creating a unique industrial-style chandelier.

Susan customized her new kitchen chandelier with the Jadite finish, standard cast guards, clear glass and a six-inch stem. The fixture tucks neatly into the recessed space.

“I chose that type of chandelier because it’s kind of quirky and it filled the space perfectly,” Susan explains. “I shopped with Barn Light Electric previously and loved the lights.”

All of the chandeliers in this collection are handcrafted by our artisans here in Florida. Complementary fixtures, shown above, are from our Pendant and Wall Sconce collections. These lights are easy to customize with a variety of finish colors, along with guard, glass, and mounting options.
