Schoolhouse Globes
Schoolhouse globes are best cleaned with a damp, soft cloth. To protect the glass and painted bands, avoid alcohol-based and abrasive cleaners. Instead, we recommend the following alcohol-free soaps and cleaners: 409, Windex, Dawn Dish Soap, Simple Green, and Mr. Clean Multi-Surface. Schoolhouse globes featuring a painted band selection should only be used indoors.
Copper & Brass
For oil-rubbed copper, weathered copper and brass finishes, slight variations may occur from shade to shade.
Copper and brass fixtures have a longer lead time and may take up to 4 weeks to manufacture. That are no returns accepted on these metals.
Copper is a "living" metal that, without regular cleaning, will undergo a natural weathering process. Much like the formation of rust on iron, a patina develops on copper which actually protects the metal. If you prefer the new-penny look of copper, you can keep it shiny with regular care with a gentle cleaning agent such as Bar Keepers Friend.

I purchased this light for our entry in galvanized with three painted bands in black. It is such a charming fixture. I love the painted bands and the different color options. When the light is on it gives off a beautiful, milky, glow. My husband was able to install in about 20 minutes and the packaging was great. Really love this!
This light was super easy to install. It looks beautiful in my kitchen over my island with a red and white diner sign. Everybody that sees it asks where I got it. I bought the red base with the red stripes on the shade and it is gorgeous. So glad I decided on this light as I had been looking at this for over a year.
We were slightly disappointed with the color. We picked the red for the stripes and even had the customer service dept send us a sample beforehand, but the stripes painted on the glass were still not as dark red as the sample. It's still a beautiful light and we installed it (not so easy but possibly because of our prewar ceiling situation) in our foyer and get compliments all the time. Packaging was great. We just wish the red stripes were more accurate to the sample.
The lights arrived in protective packaging and were easy to install. They look great in our red and white kitchen.

this light is gorgeous! I got it painted navy with no stripes. it came in perfect condition with zero flaws!
We love this lamp. We did have a bear of a time getting it installed, as the screws were quite short. Also, there were no caps for the wires included, so we had to run to the hardware store for those. However, the look is amazing. I feel transported to another time. We installed a 75w clear bulb and the quality of the light is flattering in our bathroom.
The light fixture was delivered successfully. However, I have not personally seen it as my home is under construction and it has not been installed as yet. I am certain I will be happy with it.
