Vintage Industrial Lighting Adds Character to New Build

Like the rest of the Sunshine State, we’re battening down the hatches here on the Space Coast as Hurricane Irma makes her way north. But before we duck and cover for the weekend, we wanted to share some pictures from a neighbor just south of us in Indian Harbor Beach. Zon Beachside Assisted Luxury Living recently constructed a new building on their coastal campus and chose some rugged porcelain enamel gooseneck lighting for the exterior.

The Zon philosophy of care shatters every misconception about assisted living, and their choice of exterior lighting is distinctive as well. These gooseneck lights are not your typical commercial lights but are handcrafted with attention to vintage details that set them apart from run-of-the-mill exterior lights.

“We were going for a contemporary beachside look with this brand new, 71,000-square-foot facility,” says Marlisa Smith, director of community relations for Zon Beachside. To highlight the exterior of the new building, the team chose six Cleveland Vintage Industrial Gooseneck Lights. These American-made goosenecks offer plenty of light from their handspun, flared shades and the addition of the cast guard gives them a certain vintage flair.

“We chose a White finish color to blend with our crisp, beachy palette, but chose a Galvanized guard and gooseneck arm as a nice contrast,” Marlisa explains. These fixtures feature 16″ shades, G15 gooseneck arms, and clear glass for maximum light.

The Cleveland Vintage Industrial lights mimic early 20th century factory and warehouse lighting. But thanks to their high-gloss porcelain enamel finish, these gooseneck lights have a touch of modern style. They can be customized with one of three shade sizes, 11 porcelain enamel finish colors, and are wet rated for both interior and exterior applications. Additional customizing options include cast guard and glass and a dusk-to-dawn photocell that turns the light on at dusk and off at dawn automatically.

“The lights have a controlled output that is not too bright,” Marlisa says. “We think they look great!”
