Copper Pendant Lights Add Warmth to Dining Room Update

Most remodeling plans focus on updates — bringing colors, appliances, fixtures, and furniture into a more modern age. For Ben, of Concord, Massachusetts, the complete remodel of his dining/kitchen area included a new Viking range and wainscoting plus new windows and insulation. The final touch came down to lighting where he looked for something with a bit of history.

“We wanted something American made that had the farmhouse feel,” Ben says. “But we wanted functional, not fussy, and something that would age well.” He checked off all the boxes when he found the Sinclair Spoke Top Pendant Light. Ben chose a classic Raw Copper finish on these barn pendants which feature 10″ shades, a Black cup finish, and Black cotton twist cords.

“We have some gooseneck lights on the garage. These pendants echo that aesthetic and bring it indoors,” he explains. “We were looking for something old and warm with a touch of contemporary. When we found these, we knew we had it. They strike the perfect balance.”

Ben’s pendants are replicas of the original 1930’s Benjamin® Industrial Pendants which exude vintage style and detailing. Available in four shade sizes and multiple finish colors, these ceiling lights can also be customized with a turn key on/off switch to further the vintage vibe.

“We love the way the fixtures look now, and we’re looking forward to how they will age,” he notes. “Rarely does a fixture get better with time, but we think these will.”

These copper pendants, hand spun by our craftsmen from solid copper, will age gracefully over time to a natural patina. While some prefer this natural, no-maintenance look, others prefer the shiny, brand-new finish. This bright look can be easily maintained with gentle cleaning.

“We like the warmth they bring to the space,” Ben says. “The color and quality of the light is amazing as are the number of compliments we get. People love them.”
