We understand that accidents happen, and at some point you may need to replace a broken schoolhouse shade. That’s why we offer these replacement clear globes with hand-painted, colorful stripes. This allows your home or business to maintain its fashionable aesthetic when trading out damaged globes for a brand new one.
These shades aren’t only useful for replacing broken shades. If you adopt a new color scheme while renovating your space, you can simply swap out the old shade for one with a new coordinating color instead of installing a new fixture!
Customizable with colorful painted bands.Â
White painted band(s) not recommended if Opaque Glass is selected, as it blends into the glass.
Please Note:Â The single band style has a silver border outlining the chosen finish.
If using with a non-Barn Light Electric fixture, this glass will require a fitter at least 6" wide and ¾" long screws.

Schoolhouse Globes
Schoolhouse globes are best cleaned with a damp, soft cloth. To protect the glass and painted bands, avoid alcohol-based and abrasive cleaners. Instead, we recommend the following alcohol-free soaps and cleaners: 409, Windex, Dawn Dish Soap, Simple Green, and Mr. Clean Multi-Surface. Schoolhouse globes featuring a painted band selection should only be used indoors.
Lead Times & Returns
Lead Time: Standard lead time is 7-14 business days. For products in our Quick Ship Collection, standard lead time is 5-7 business days. Products utilizing natural metals including brass and copper may take up to 20-30 business days to manufacture.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to current supply chain challenges and additional factors beyond Barn Light Electric's control, lead times may be longer than customary. Please contact our Customer Care Team if you have any questions or concerns regarding your order(s) at 321-269-2299. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your extended patience.
Finish Care & Maintenance
No metal fixture, no matter the finish, is guaranteed against corrosion especially in salt air environments. If your fixture is installed in a location near salt water, we recommend cleaning it frequently.
If your fixture is not installed in a location near salt water, we recommend periodic cleaning with a mild soap-and-water wash and gentle buffing to extend the life of our painted finishes.
