You now need a separate recycling can for "paper"
this can is to be placed on the
curb on Recycling Days (see schedule).
NEW DECALS FOR PAPER CANS ARE AVAILABLE IN TOWN HALL

PAPER Recycling Rules:

PERMITTED:

Junk mail
Newspaper w/inserts NOT BUNDLED - This is a huge change!

Magazines & catalogs
Cardboard ( Corrugated Boxes must be flattened)

Computer Paper
Office Paper
Brown Paper Bags (Empty)
School Papers, used writing paper

NOT PERMITTED:

Cereal Boxes
Pizza Boxes
Plastic Bags
Paper Plates
Trash
Phone Books (Must be dropped off in bin next to cardboard dumpster at Public Works driveway by the Fire Department)

REGULAR TRASH: Pick-up Mondays and Thursday in the AM hours
BULK TRASH: Picked up on regular trash day except for the months of July and August.
For removal of any bulk items containing FREON, please call the Borough Hall.
BRUSH: Will not be picked up unless it is tied in bundles or placed in containers.
LEAVES and TWIGS: Place in with your regular trash.

Ocean County also hosts a HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE disposal program twice yearly. You may contact the Borough Hall for more information and locations.

Please use clearly marked recycling containers for all recycled material.
